Barr Community
The Village of Barr is situated in the Carrick Hills of SouthWest Scotland 8 Miles from Girvan, South Ayrshire.The village is designated a conservation area and is situated in the Valley of the River Stinchar a good spot for keen anglers and a haven for those who appreciate walks in the forest. There are eight designated walks available now that will take you to some of the more interesting aspects of the area.
Barr is an excellant base for walking. There are various walks through the Changue forest. Nearly 20 miles of paths have been joined to form circular
routes by riverside,forest and open hill. Access is thanks to the goodwill and generosity of the landowners and Forest Enterprise.
